Failure to Attend & Late Cancellation policy
Here at The Manor House Dental & Implant Clinic, we want to do our best to ensure everyone has access to timely care. To minimise the number of appointments missed and improve our availability for our patients, we have implemented the following policy.
Failure to attend As a gesture of goodwill failing to attend the first appointment will not incur a charge. You will be sent a reminder of this policy. After the first instance, failing to attend a second appointment or any further appointments will result in a charge at the rate of £100 per hour, and payment in advance for all future appointments.
Late cancellation Patients who are unable to make their appointment because of illness should, where possible, contact the practice as soon as they are aware that they cannot attend. We understand that scenarios do occur, and discretion will be used if there is a good reason for the appointment being missed or cancelled.
Late cancellation charges will apply if an appointment is cancelled within 24 hours (weekends not included). After the first instance, cancelling a second appointment or any further appointments within 24 hours will result in a charge at the rate of £100 per hour, and payment in advance for all future appointments.
Please see below our late cancellation and failure to attend charges:
The rate is £25 per 15 minutes.
30-minute appointment: £50 charge
60-minute appointment: £100 charge
Please note for complex cases, for example dental implants, may incur a higher fee in line with the value and complexity of the treatment.
Any future booked appointments will be cancelled if the fee is not paid within 2 weeks.
Payment in advance
If you have been charged a fee, you will then need to pay in advance for all future appointments. If you do not attend the full fee will be retained, and payment will be required if you would like to book again. If more than two appointments are missed, future appointments may not be offered and this is up to the discretion of the practice. This also applies when we take payment in advance for new patients and re-registering patients.
This policy also applies to our patients that are on a dental plan.
Please note, all reminders are provided out of courtesy. Failure of the reminder system for any reason is not a sufficient reason for failing to attend an appointment.
